As I prepare for a family reunion at the cottage I've been thinking of favourite appetizers to prepare. This one should hit the spot. Originally part of my 'Three Simple Game Day Appetizers' post, this Fresh Tomato and Burrata Pizza Dip deserves its own spotlight. Try it and you will see why. 😊

If you've never heard of burrata, it is a creamy mozzarella cheese that has become increasingly popular in recent years. It’s typically found in the specialty cheese section of most grocery stores. The outer layer is a smooth, firm mozzarella, while the inside is a rich blend of cream and stracciatella—shredded mozzarella soaked in cream. This creates a delightful contrast between the slightly chewy exterior and the luxuriously creamy interior, making it a favorite among chefs and food lovers.

In this recipe, the creamy burrata is the perfect contrast to the tart tomatoes, and the pepperoni adds a kick.

Serve this appetizer piping hot with a sliced, toasted baguette, or garlic toast chunks for dipping.
