Charcuterie is the easiest appetizer to feed a crowd, but it can be expensive. By the time you buy your cheese, fruit, meat, nuts, spreads, crackers and garnishes, you could be spending $50 plus, not to mention the time investment in putting it together. But a big charcuterie board, like this Christmas Tree Charcuterie, can feed 6-8 people, and I feel if you look at the cost ratio that way, it is worth it.
Christmas Tree Charcuterie
This charcuterie includes green grapes, raspberries, turkey pepperoni sticks, olives, walnuts, an aged cheddar and soft Boursin bites for cheese, and crackers, at the base. It is garnished with some sprigs of rosemary. I chose most of these ingredients because I had them in my house already. Yes. That’s the other way to cut down on costs, get creative with the ingredients you have. Instead of raspberries, use strawberries, instead of walnuts, use pecans or pistachios, or pretzel sticks. Not enough green grapes? Use some sliced kiwi for added green or sliced green pepper. Get creative! Your guests will love it!
